In meeting our educational goals, the daily activities are designed to provide an age-appropriate program, which includes all early childhood development areas.
The daily activities include indoor and outdoor play, quiet/nap periods, group and individual play. Program plans and daily schedules are posted in each room.

FULL TIME & PART TIME PROGRAMS ARE AVAILABLE AT KIDS ISLAND
Extra curricular activities are offered at Kids Island Daycare Centre. The activities are instructed by professional teachers with an extensive background in their field who come to the centre during a designated time. Extra curricular activities are offered at the centre to increase family time in the evenings and on weekends. These activities include:

Kinder
Island

Age: 15 months – 2½ years Staff to child ratio: 1:5
Fun for little ones
The toddler program includes dancing, music, learning to speak, drawing, gluing, painting, play dough use, story time. As well as learning self-help skills, such as dressing up, using the washroom and eating by themselves.

Wonder
Island

Age: 3-4 years
Staff to child ratio: 1:8
Amazing activities for preschoolers
The preschool program includes language development, English, French and Russian activities, music, dance, science, story time, collage making, arts & crafts and field trips!

Explorer
Island

Age: 2.5 – 3.5 years
Staff to child ratio: 1:8
Every day is a surprise at Explorer Island
The program includes language development, French activities, great group projects, music, dance, science, story time, collage making, performances, arts & crafts and field trips!

Dream
Island

Age: 4-5 years Junior Kindergarten
Staff to child ratio: 1:10
Dreaming of becoming an austronaut?
The program has an intensive English preparation along with a Russian program. As well as French activities, learning to read and write, great group projects, music, dance, science, story time, collage making, performances, arts & crafts and field trips!

Discovery
Island

Age: 5-6 years Senior Kindergarten
Staff to child ratio: 1:12
Who’s stronger – a whale or an elephant?
Program includes an intense English preparation for grade 1, along with a Russian program. As well as French activities, learning to read and write, great group projects, music, dance, science, story time, collage making, performances, arts & crafts and field trips and tons of educational games!*
